  1. Dell XPS 8940 BSOD errors

Ever since yesterday I have been getting BSOD errors, about every hour or so. Each time it gives me a different stop code. f /scannow and dism both come up fine. I was concerned my cpu was overheating but it is currently at 39c and after cleaning the fan and reapplying paste, the BSOD errors continue. I have not made any physical changes to my PC or added new software, so I am confused why I am getting this all of a sudden. Attached is a minidump from this morning.minidump

  2. My Dell XP 8940 keeps flickering and shimmering

My Dell XP 8940 keeps flickering and shimmering, Dell changed Motherboard, CPU and did all driver and software updates , still the same, simply STAY AWAY FROM DELL, and their Tech Support is in India and they are very un-honest Tech Rep's.

    Dell XPS 8940 Streaming Problems

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

I understand your streaming problems. It's clear you've already done a lot of troubleshooting. There are a few more things you might want to consider:

    1. Check for Background Applications: Ensure no other applications are running in the background that could be using significant resources. You can check this in the Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc).
    2. Network Card Drivers: Even though you've checked for driver updates, I recommend specifically looking at your network card drivers. Ensure they're up-to-date, and if they are, consider rolling them back to a previous version. Sometimes, newer drivers can cause issues.
    3. Hardware Acceleration: Some applications use hardware acceleration to improve performance. However, this can sometimes cause issues. If the streaming service you're using has an option to disable hardware acceleration (this is usually found in the settings), try disabling it and see if performance improves.
    4. Windows System Files: Corrupted system files could cause this issue. Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files. To do this, open Command Prompt as an administrator, then type "sfc /scannow" and press Enter.
    5. Clean Boot: Perform a clean boot to see if any third-party services are causing the problem. Here's how to do it:
      • Press Windows + R, type "msconfig" and press Enter.
      • In the System Configuration window, click on the Services tab.
      • Check the box that says "Hide all Microsoft services", then click "Disable all".
      • Click the Startup tab, then click "Open Task Manager".
      • Disable all startup items, then close Task Manager.
      • Click OK on the System Configuration window, then restart your PC.
Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background service is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by step so that it will help you get back on track.
    6. Contact Dell Support: If none of the above suggestions work, it might be a hardware issue. In this case, I recommend contacting Dell Support for further assistance.
These are just suggestions, and it's important to ensure any changes you make won't affect your system negatively.

    Best regards
