Windows 10: Denying delete permission on windows 10.

    Denying delete permission on windows 10.

    Hi,

    That might accomplish your goal... I can't test that...

    You may need to go into the ADVANCED at the bottom of the window,

    and disable Inheritance, then select the Permissions there...

    Select to Convert To Explicit..

    I would test that on something unimportant...

    Hi,

    The reason you are still able to delete the file after denying "WRITE" is that Write has nothing to do with deleting...

    You need to "DENY" or uncheck "Modify"...
