Windows 10: Desk top shortcut Icon with MS Store programs

I have now begun to download some programs from the Microsoft Store. But I cannot create a Desktop Short cut to start the program.

When I select the program from the Win Start button and RH click on it. I can Pin to the Task Bar or to the Start that is reached from the Win Start Key.

I can't add every app start icon to the Task Bar - not enough room. And I don't like to add the programs to the Start and even then that will rather large in number of progs. So I put my start app icons on the DeskTop if necesssary I group them in a folder. I feel MS is forcing me to do things their way with the programs via the MS Apps Store. With most programs I purchase I can find the exe file and make a shortcut from that. I can't find the exe of this program. The program/app appears to be in C:\users\ME\AppData\Local\Packages\ManfAppName then sub folders. I can't see any exe that i can make a short cut from. Maybe I have missed how you make a short cut on the desktop from such MS Store programs that don't put their programs in Programs or Programs86 on C: drive like nearly all the other programs I purchase etc..

How to pin app shortcut to desk top?

I suggest you to follow below steps to change pin the apps on the desktop screen and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to perform the below steps to add the apps on desktop.

• Click on the “Start button” and locate the App that you want to pin to Desktop.
• Right click on the “App” and click on “More options”.
• Then click on “Open File location” and right click on the app, click on “Send to” option.
• Then select “Desktop (Create shortcut)”.
• Go to “Desktop” and check whether the app is located or not.

Or Step 2: To add shortcuts to the desktop

• Press and hold or right-click the desktop, tap or click New, and then tap or click Shortcut.
• Enter the location of the item or tap or click Browse to find the item in File Explorer.

Desk top Icons

After the last update I noticed that my desk top icons changed locations. I've tried all the suggested fixes and rearranged them three times but every time I boot up, the icons have changed locations . I went as far as to have Geek Squad try to fix the
problem. They tried for an hour and suggested that I contact you. Went do you plan to issue a fix for this bug???

Will there be desk top icons for programs we use often and will there be sticky notes available?
