Windows 10: Desktop file issues

my PC said there's a problem with my microsoft account. I went into settings and clicked fix issues. I can't seem to recover my desktop. all my files are still there, just not on the desktop.

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

• Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
• Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
• Click on Users, select your User name
• Go to desktop folder

Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

• Does this issue occur when right clicking on desktop shortcut icons or in file explorer shortcut icons?
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

In the meantime, we suggest that you run the System File Checker and DISM
tools to scan and replace/repair your system for any file corruptions that may be causing this issue.
