Desktop Flashes Black after cumulative update KB4551762 and nvidia control panel is not found.

I posted this question a month back in this Reddit post. The problem occuring is after this update till the sign in screen there are no problems but upon reaching the desktop the screen starts flashing blank and a notification appears that nvidia control panel was not found attaching a clip.

I related this problem to nvidia's display driver clashing with windows update.

So I reset my PC and installed only windows provided display drivers which automatically installs nvidia control panel previously had nvidia GeForce experience and used to update drivers regularly.

Now a month later I have landed back on the same problem, and neither a previous restore point is working nor rolling back updates is I can access the recovery environment.

Is there an identified driver that's causing this problem, what should I do given I cannot access anything past the sign in screen. Desktop Flashes Black after cumulative update KB4551762 and nvidia control panel is not found. cee9bdb1-390c-41ab-b04b-f0e66a43e424?upload=true.png

Nvidia Control Panel - Disappeared after Windows 10 Version 1703 update

Thanks for the information. The problem was that it also was not listed on Control Panel - All Control Panel Items after the update. It was the second place I looked when I could not find it on the desktop. I did a complete search for the Nvidia Control,
Nvidia Control Panel and Nvidia on the C and D drives, and the Nvidia Control Panel was no where to be found. I was able to locate the Nvidia GForce Experience app (listed on the apps menu and via a search and it function fine) and able to locate the Nvidia
Driver using Device Manager, but I was unable to locate the Nvidia Control Panel. The Nvidia Icon, which is also set using the Nvidia Control Panel, that appears at the bottom right of the screen was also missing. All is now good after talking with Nvidia
    Support and following their instructions.
