Windows 10: Desktop icons appear with Magnifying glass appearing again

I see mention of this issue back in 2017. But it's happening again.

I'm seeing this again. Intermittently. For a few seconds - 15 - 30 seconds and then they disappear.


I don't need or use accessibility features.


Looks like a glitch somewhere.

Magnifying glass icon

Why does the magnifying glass icon keep disappearing from the task bar and how do I get it back (and keep it there)? The last time I searched for magnifier.exe as someone suggested, got it back, now it's gone again. Please, this is driving me crazy.

Red magnifying glass search

Hi. It is not application specific. It appears when highlighting text in Office applications, Web pages, Wordpress, Blogger and even if I highlight text in this query form. The text is highlighted and at the end of the highlight a small red box, with a
magnifying glass appears. Clicking on the icon opens a floating "search results" window. Thanks

 

Magnifier

No, when I press WinKey and + it appears on the screen as yours does, but after about ten seconds it fades away to leave a semi-transparent magnifying glass icon in its place. I can click on the magnifying glass to restore it, or on its icon in the taskbar.
