Windows 10: Desktop Icons have a weird dottet line Around them.

I have had this problem around threee times by now and it always happens at very random times. The problem is that Desktop icons get a weird Line around them when i click in them that doesnt go away even when i click somewhere else on the desktop. When I click on another icon the same thing happens to this icon. the only way to remove the line temporarily is to open another window, but after i click back on the desktop the line reappears.

Ive looked up every setting i could think of and refreshed everithing i could but nothing helped except restarting the PC, but then its just a matter of time until the line appears again.

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

 

Weird desktop icon behaviour on Steam

Yes, they are; however, when I right click on the "blue sphere" icon to change it and browse to the corresponding folder inside the Steam folder, it lets me go through all the steps, but the blue sphere remains. *Confused

 

Desktop Icons Won't Stay Put

As per the issue description I understand that you are facing issues with desktop icons.

I suggest you try the following step in order to arrange the icons.

• Right click on the desktop.
• Click on view
• Check the option auto arrange icons.
