    Icons keep appearing on my Desktop

    Recently I purchased a new Acer Aspire A315-41-R5MD Notebook running Windows 10 Home - Version 1903 and from time to time, icons for programs would appear on my desktop. The main culprit being Hotspot Shield VPN. I've deleted these icons several times and
    they still keep appearing. The only thing I can think it would be is the program updating and adding the desktop icon back as Hotspot Shield also opened on startup despite that being disabled, so I will see if I can disable automatic updates and see if that
    fixes the issue.

    Any other suggestions as to how I would fix this problem would be welcome.

    Removing desktop icons

    I want to remove some Icons from my desktop, but Vista asks for Admin permission to continue (I'm not an admin *Frown Desktop Icons keeps re-appearing after I deleted it. :( ).
    It seems that whenever I delete one of these icons from my desktop, it is also removed from all the other user accounts. For example, I deleted the Skype icon from my desktop, and it was then removed from everyone elses as well.
    How can I delete icons from my desktop only, without affecting anyone elses?

    Removing desktop icons

    the icons are located in 'all users' folder somewhere (for example, i see a few shared icons in "C:\Users\Public\Desktop" )

    The only way to fix those, is to remove the icons from there, and place them on to each users desktops manually. an admin may need to do this.
