Windows 10: Desktop icons move back to left after refreshinh

I have given up trying to solve this problem. I move the icos to where I want them but as soon as I refresjh the Desktop they go to the left in an unordered fashion.

Now, I want to go back to 8.1 but would like to know if I can migrate back to Windows 10 in the future when all the bugs are sorted out.

Thank you v m for your kind offer. Someone suggested to install desktop restore which is what I am going to do. This because I seem to have discovered just today that the graphics driver is responsible for shifting the desktop icons.

Ever so often it seems to check the screen resolution in the background. My resolution is 3840 x 2160 but I used to run it at 2560 x 1440. Which should be possible without negatively impacting any other application or settings.

I set the resolution now back to its highest level and see how this works and if the problem persists, whether desktop restore can quickly bring the desktop icons back to their original positions.

I have to trouble you once more. Apologies. The User Manual suggests that there are 3 new items available in the desktop context menu after installing Desktop Icon Save and Restore.

Unfortunately I fail to discover the 3 functions, save - restore - custom save and restore. Perhaps this is different with Windows 10 ?

I right click the start menu, also the desktop and the Windows Bar at the lower end of the screen.
