    Desktop in WIN 10 Freezing with one single key stroke?


    Can anyone explain why the single use of the right hand mouse button on the topic NEW on my desktop instantly freezes the screen for about 15 seconds?


    The computer then immediately seems to refresh automatically, and ALL FUNCTIONS (EXCEPT NEW) WORK PERFECTLY.


    The net result is that I am unable to create folders on my Desktop which is annoying! Thanks for any help you might have?

    Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?

    windows 10 deleted my desktop files

    Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

    Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

    copied all files again to desktop.

    Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

    Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

    • Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
    • Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
    • Click on Users, select your User name
    • Go to desktop folder
    Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.

    Borderlands freezes and thaws

    I'm positive the steps I took above fixed it. I went through 10 rounds in the underdome (well over an hour of gameplay) without a single freeze. Previously, I couldn't play 15 minutes without at least one freeze.
