    Desktop, menu and explorer colors washed out after last update.


    I did an update yesterday, since then my colors are washed while i'm not in an app. I re installed my nvidia drivers and colors went back to vivid, then after a reboot, they returned to washed.

    If i disable HDR in windows settings, colors go back to vivid, if i turn it ON again, it's washed lol.

    No problems before this update.

    I wonder why nobody has suggested the OP to make a screenshot of display showing these "washed out colors"? Everything I have read in this thread suggests that the issue is not in Windows, but instead in display / monitor.

    My suggestion: next time you'll see these washed out colors, make a screenshot and post it here. If the screenshot shows us that colors are OK, then the issue is your monitor failing.

    Washed Out Color Screen

    To bring back your colors after Windows 10 Updates:-

    Rt. click on desktop screen.

    In the black panel that comes up:-

    Left click on graphic properties.

    Left click on basic mode, (or advanced mode).

    Left click on color enhancement.

    Adjust saturation and colors as needed.

    Saturation adjustment seems to make the biggest change to washed out colors.

    Press OK.

    Bingo! Your colors are back, it took me ages to find this out.
