Windows 10: Desktop Option

My computer recently had a conniption and I had to restore some files which work ok. But now I find that I cannot save any document or image directly onto the screen itself, whereas I used to just click Save As.... then nominate the desktop and the items would appear on the screen without need for a folder. I was then able to sort and file them into their correct destinations. I created a new desktop folder in the library which now saves stuff for me, but I like saving work directly to the screen as it suits me. Is there any way to restore this function.Thanks in advance,CeeBee

Desktop Icons Won't Stay Put

As per the issue description I understand that you are facing issues with desktop icons.

I suggest you try the following step in order to arrange the icons.

• Right click on the desktop.
• Click on view
• Check the option auto arrange icons.

No restart button in task manager

another easy way to kill tasks, download and install Winaero Tweaker(free) and theres a setting to add a Kill non responding tasks using the desktop right click menu. When you place your cursor on the desktop anywhere and right click the option is at the top of the list, Very handy and you dont have to go through all those steps and well Winaero Tweaker has alot of cool Windows tweaks. Just posting a different suggestion, Im sure your ok with what was suggested here.

To resolve your issue with flickering desktop, we suggest that you update your display drivers with the steps listed below:

• Right-click Start, then select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters to find the name of your device.
• Right-click the device and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow steps to update display drivers.
