Windows 10: desktop pops up

I play American Truck Sim. and other games on Steam and I'm driving down the road when the desktop pops up and the game is put down on the task bar. If I click on the game icon on the task bar most of the time the game will reappear and I can continue to play. But in those few seconds I could wreck the truck. This has also happened in some non Steam games such as Far Cry 2 and some "seek and find" games. The biggest problem is my driving games. It's no fun if I'm driving down the road at 70 MPH and the desktop pops up. I read that others have the same problems, but "what" is the problem? Hope you can help us all, thanks. "armydude"

annoying desktop pop ups

Pop ups can be distracting for some, and depending on your reference, you can disable the desktop pop ups by following these steps:

• Click Start or the Windows logo and go to Settings (gear icon).
• Go to System and choose Notification & actions.
• Under Notifications, turn off Get tips, tricks, and suggestions as you use Windows or whatever you want to turn off.
• Close the window and it will automatically save the changes.

To resolve your issue with flickering desktop, we suggest that you update your display drivers with the steps listed below:

• Right-click Start, then select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters to find the name of your device.
• Right-click the device and select Update Driver Software.
