Discus and support Desktop, Taskbar, and Explorer icons are broken.     Desktop, Taskbar, and Explorer icons are broken. Not start menu icons though.


    When I turned on my pc today all of my icons were broken as seen in the below images. I've tried restarting my computerseveral times, restarting Windows Explorer through task manager, going to C:\Users%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer and deleting the icon cache, and going to C:\Users%userprofile%\AppData\Local and deleting the icon db there. I logged into the admin account and the icons were broken there too. I looked into reverting the update and it seemed like I somehow disabled restore points. And one last note, I cannot open the properties menu for anything on my desktop, taskbar, and explorer.

    Start menu default internet acces icon screwed?

    You generally set that via the Start Menu settings (right-click start menu -> properties).

    I had that issues a while ago, and it meant removing it from the Start Menu, and reinstalling my browser to get the icon back, it was very odd.

    @oil: That's what I did, but unfortunately it's different, it should be like "Internet" and should have the icon of FireFox.

    So.. Remove the icon via Start menu properties, uninstall FF (again) and install?
