Windows 10: Device can't be tethered to PC Bluetooth: "We didn't get any response from the device. Try...

Hello. I'm trying to tether my DS4 pad to my PC but every time I try it I receive the warning:” We didn't get any response from the device. Try connecting again.” as pictured. I'm a 100% sure that it isn't the controller because I tried it in two other Windows PCs and it worked just fine. This happens with other devices as well. My Bluetooth adapter is an ORICO BTA-508.

Bluetooth headset doesn´t connect to Windows 10 due to no response

I didn´t make any changes on my device, at least what I would be aware of. However, I run CCleaner and Drive Booster from time to time. I have tried the troubleshooting (Bluetooth and also Hardware and Devices) but I didn´t uninstall anything. The second
one just had me restart the system but now it cannot even find the Bluetooth headset. My current OS version is Version 1709 (OS Build 16299.309).

I can`t add a bluetooth device

Outdated drivers is one of the possible reasons why you're having challenges connecting headphones to your computer. For us to determine the appropriate advice to your concern, please answer the following:

• When did the issue start?
• Were there any changes made prior to this issue?
• Have you tried connecting your Bluetooth headset to a different device?

Device Manager Un-Hiding Hidden Devices

When you connect a plug and play device, Windows Plug and Play manager detects it, finds and installs the driver. Device Manager lists the device with a solid icon.

The driver is only removed when you uninstall the device, not simply by disconnecting the device. When the device is disconnected, its driver is still installed. By default, Device Manager only displays connected devices. When you show hidden devices, note the Bluetooth icon you see is semi-transparent (not opaque). That indicates a "non-present" device. Sometimes also called a "ghost" device. The driver is still installed but the device is not currently detected (i.e. not connected).

Device can be disconnected when

• Device unplugged (e.g. removing a USB device)
• Turning a device OFF
• Disabling the device in BIOS (then windows won't detect it) or
• Device failure

So

• Check BIOS as suggested
• Check board connections
• Can b/t be turned off by a switch? or keyboard combination?

Also possible the b/t h/w failed
