Hello, I have a problem with one of my devices TP-Link WiFi adapter. So, the problem is that my device is 100% checked connected to a USB 3.0 port on the backside of my desktop PC. The port is a blue one USB 3.0. However, for some reason, I am still getting the message that the device could perform faster if connected to a USB 3.0 port.So the device we are talking about here is TP-Link Archer T4U Plus. Basic info about my desktop, Windows 10 x64, Ryzen 5 2600 CPU, ATI Radeon x580 GPU, 16 GB RAM, ...Any idea how to fix this? I tried to reinstall my adapter, tried to put it into anoth

    :)

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community, we appreciate your interest in Windows 10.

I understand you concern about detecting the external drive after upgrading to Windows 10.

    Windows 10: Display a warning if I plug a USB 3.0 device into a USB 2.0 port

Please try these steps. Sometimes the problem is not as big as we think:

    1. In Device Manager, check if Intel USB Host Controller 3.0 is enabled and updated.
    2. Go to BIOS settings to see if USB 3.0 is enabled.
    3. If you are still facing the same problem, try uninstalling all USB host controllers in Device Manager.

Note: Make sure you are not using any extender for USB.

  4. Device could perform faster if connected to USB 3.0 problem

Device can perform faster when connected to USB 3.0

I have an external drive (Buffalo MiniStation 3.0) and could not be access anymore after upgrading to Windows 10. It is not displayed in windows explorer but it is displayed in "connected devices" with the message "Device can perform faster when connected
to USB 3.0. My laptop is Dell Inspiron 15 3000 series and I think it is not equipped with USB 3.0 port but the device was working before I upgraded from Windows 8.1.

Any help would be highly appreciated.
