  1. Device Manager PCI Device Problem

Just randomly I saw 3 PCI Device errors in device management and I don't know why. When I click on them they say this: The drivers for this device are not installed. Code 28. There are no compatible drivers for this device. To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver. I don't know how to get rid of them.

    :)

  3. Unknown PCI Device

Ever since i installed my MB way back in March, i've had a PCI Device in my Device Manager that i've never been aware to what in the hell it is.

    msinfo says:

PCI Device PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_AA30&SUBSYS_AA30174B&REV_00\4&1B9F9CFF&0&0168 This device is not configured correctly.

its definitely not a PCI device because the only device i have in any expansion slot is my 4870.

i know i can just ignore it but i'd like to find out if its some vital driver, because i dont have a clue.

maybe one of you guys do. we'll see.

  4. Device Manager PCI Device Problem

    Device Manager Un-Hiding Hidden Devices

When you connect a plug and play device, Windows Plug and Play manager detects it, finds and installs the driver. Device Manager lists the device with a solid icon.

The driver is only removed when you uninstall the device, not simply by disconnecting the device. When the device is disconnected, its driver is still installed. By default, Device Manager only displays connected devices. When you show hidden devices, note the Bluetooth icon you see is semi-transparent (not opaque). That indicates a "non-present" device. Sometimes also called a "ghost" device. The driver is still installed but the device is not currently detected (i.e. not connected).

    Device can be disconnected when
    • Device unplugged (e.g. removing a USB device)
    • Turning a device OFF
    • Disabling the device in BIOS (then windows won't detect it) or
    • Device failure

    So
    • Check BIOS as suggested
    • Check board connections
    • Can b/t be turned off by a switch? or keyboard combination?
Also possible the b/t h/w failed
