Device Not Migrated - Win 10 Build 18363

    Hello

I have a USB C to HDMI adapter that works fine on a Windows 10 Build 17763 laptop, but when I try and use it on my other laptop which is Windows 10 Build 18363 it doesn't work.

In the event log on the non working laptop it says the following:

Device USB\VID_2109&PID_0817\MSFT30 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.

    Last Device Instance Id: USB\VID_0000&PID_0001\5&36a3b657&0&16

    Class Guid: {36fc9e60-c465-11cf-8056-444553540000}

    Location Path: ACPI_SB_#ACPIPCI0#ACPIXHC_#ACPIRHUB#ACPISS04

    Migration Rank: 0xF000FFFFFFFF0032

    Present: false

    Status: 0xC0000719

I've run Windows Updates, done an uninstall and reinstall of the device, rebooted, SFC scan, updated my BIOS to latest version and none of these work.

Looking at the difference between the USBHUB3.sys file both PCs reference, the Build 17763 uses a 2018 driver whereas the 18363 uses a 2019 driver.

If I try and use Windows Troubleshooter, it says it cannot identify the problem, and if I try and search for drivers it says it has the latest version installed. I don't believe it is an issue with the 18363 laptop USB C port as I can use a different USB Dock over USB C and it works fine. The same issue occurs on another laptop also running 18363. So I have two laptops on 18363 where the USB C adapter doesn't work, and one on 17763 where it does work.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    :)

    Windows Build 18363

I have discovered that once upgraded to Windows 10 build 18363 from build 18362, domain users no longer have the option to use Photos. Local users still have the option but domain users do not. I have verified that this behavior is not the fault of a group
policy as down grading back to build 18362 fixes the issue. Does Microsoft have any time frame in fixing this issue?

  4. Device Not Migrated - Win 10 Build 18363

    Bluetooth device migration.

I recently purchased a Megacra sound bar (no drivers or updates available or needed). Connected immediately, now a few months later, doesn't work.

I currently have 2 other devices connected on Bluetooth... a Philips speaker and my Android phone. Soundbar will not migrate and initially is recognized as audio device, then displays as "other device" on Bluetooth settings device list. Went to Dell support
    and Intel, no help there.

Is there a solution beyond tinkering with device manager, drivers, re-installs, system restore, etc? I have tried all. I have a Dell Inspiron 5767, Win 10 build 1803, Intel bluetooth, Microsoft enumerator and LE enumerator. Soundbar pairs and connects
    with phone perfectly.

Any sane and rational suggestions/solutions appreciated.
