Windows 10: Device Security - 2

Previously posted on this subject and grateful to all who responded. Been a roller coaster ride. Thought I'd create new post with current situation and question.:-Current situation is that "Winders Security " states that 'no action is needed'. However, "Core Isolation" shows the message 'This setting is managed by your administrator' and "Memory Integrity" is ON but greyed out so can't switch off. Also"Microsoft Vulnerable Driver Blocklist" is ON but greyed out so can't be switched off.In the registry, "HypervisorEnforcedCodeIntegrity" is enabled 1 and the "VulnerableDriverBlocklistEnabl

USB 2 devices not reading after win 10 upgrade, latest INF driver installed.

Thank you for your response.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to go to Manufacturer web site and download and install the latest chipset driver for your device and check if it helps.

Step 2: I suggest you to check for the Windows updates and install all the updates.

  Press Windows logo key +R, enter
  MS-settings: and then press OK. This opens Settings.
  
• 
  In Settings, go to Update & security >
  Windows Update, and then select Check for updates. Install any available updates and restart your PC if required.

Security Device Not Recognized

Ob build 10527:

On my login screen I had 4 icons:

• Password
• Security Device
• Security Device
• PIN

The Security Device (#2) when clicked shows "Security Device Not Recognized". It also shows up as the default. The other Security Device (#3) is a Virtual Smart Card and it functions correctly. As does the Password and PIN.

I used Tpmvscmgr to destroy the virtual smart card instance #0, and I further attempted to destroy any other instances but none existed.

Now I have:

• Password
• Security Device
• PIN

The Security Device #2 still has the same error.

In Device Manager I only have 1 Security Device, TPM 2.0, which is functioning correctly (Bitlocker etc).

How do I remove or repair this bad security device on my sign-in screen?

That made me so facepalm. Some people have absolutely no clue. I hope they don't take you for granted with all this you're doing for them.

SonicWall is a good security product, so Mindweaver's suggestion sounds like a good one and should make for a rather bigger baby step. Let's hope they take it.
