Using a EasySMX Controller ESM-9013 i started having issues with controller input.


Win 10 Pro ver 1809 build 17763

Lenovo y70 touch


Various behaviors, Loss of input, Controller driver crashing, etc.


This directly followed windows refresh, however, i suspect other actions could impact the controller driver.


the order in which installation is performed resolved.


Uninstalled xbox 360 peripheral from device manager > Uninstalled xbox 360 accessories 1.20.146.0 > unplug usb controller transpondr (dongle) > restart >install xbox 360 accessories 1.2 (same as before from easysmx website) > Insert usb transponder (dongle)> Resolved <


Basically, when its done otherwise windows installs generic game controller and it causes a weird mess of symptoms

USB Port Oddities


Ok, let's see it with pictures step-by-step. First right-click on the USB device and select Update driver software:





Then select Browse my computer for driver software (LAST option) :





The select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer (LAST option) :





Then select the standard driver from the list and click next:





Click next/OK as required to complete installation. Repeat the steps for all Intel USB devices. Finally click on each USB root device and press DEL to delete it, reply YES when asked. After deleting all USB root devices restart the computer.
