Control Panel... Devices and Printers content

Hi,

Thank you for the reply and update.

As there is a delay in opening the Devices and Printers content from the Control Panel, suggest you to follow this alternative method of opening the same screen to check if that helps.

• 
  Press “Windows key + I” to get the Settings screen.
  
• 
  Click on “Devices” and click on “Devices and printers”.
  

If there are external devices connected then pc takes some time to communicate with those devices and then the screen opens up.

Game controller ID settings

Thank you for the update. I understand your concern.

I would suggest you to look for the Devices settings in Control Panel and check if the game controllers are listed. If so, refer to the following steps to alter the settings and check if these are helpful in resolving your issue.

a. Right click on one of your game controllers and click Game Controller Settings. Note where in the list it is. If it is not at the top proceed to the next step.

b. Right click and remove all your other controllers (not the 360/gamepad) and let them reinstall automatically.

c. Once complete right click and check the list again and see if the 360 controller/gamepad is at the top. If so, give the game another try and see if it detects your controller.

If the issue still persists, restart your console and then try to reconnect your controller.

Why can't see game controller at Devices and printers?

Have you tried to connect on different USB port?

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps:

Method 1:
Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.

I suggest you to run hardware and devices troubleshooter and check.

1. Press the
Windows + X, and click on Search.

2. Type
troubleshooting and select Troubleshooting.

3. Click on
Hardware and Sound and select Hardware and Devices and click on
Next to run the troubleshooter

Method 2:
Update USB Controllers.

To update the USB Controllers from Device Manager follow these steps.

1. Go to
Device manager in control panel.

2. Select
Device manager and a Device Manager window will pop-up.

3. Double Click on
USB Controllers to expand.

4. Right click on the
USB Controllers that is listed and select Update.

Method 3:

Install all pending updates install any pending Windows updates on the pc to check if that helps. Updates are additions to software that can help prevent or fix problems, improve how
your computer works, or enhance your computing experience.
