Windows 10: Devolo Ethernet - no Internet Access

Hi.

I'm from Germany and my PC is in German, so some of the stuff I write here isn't exactly how it's phrases in English.

The device is a "devolo dLAN 500 AV Wireless+". My PC is connected to it via LAN Cable. That thing is connected to another of it's kind via the power outlet I think. That one is connected to the router via LAN cable. The Router is working; I have WiFi and the TV is working too.

Yet I have no Internet on my PC. When ever I start it, there's this typical Ethernet symbol, but with a yellow exclamation mark that says "Nö internet access".

When I go into the settings, it says "Unidentified Network", despite the internet flawlessly working for years. I tried different cables; same result.

Only thing that changed is that I got a new Media Receiver from the Telekom. I installed it according to the instructions and literally the second I put the LAN cable into the Devolo, the Ethernet collapsed.

I had success by just removing the Devolo from the power outlet and putting it back in about a minute later. This morning though, when I started my PC, the internet was gone again. Nothing changed at all over the night. I tried removing and putting back in too, without success. Obviously I tried it without having the media receiver connected too, same result.

So, since the WiFi is working, I suspect my PC has something to do with it, rather than the Devolo.

When I run the "Windows Network Diagnostics" it only tells me that I should remove the device and reconnect it (done that) and if that doesn't work, I should restart the router (done that too, obviously).

In the Windows 10 settings under "Network Status" there is the following Info: "No internet access. Your device is connected, yet can maybe not access the network. [...]".

Does anyone have an Idea what I can do?

Devolo problems

You could try contacting Devolo support by email: L: [email protected]

They normally answer with step by step instructions once you have described the problems you are having.
( Although they may still ask you to perform the steps you already have! )

Issues with Devolo duo


Hello everyone,

I have been using Devolo duo 500 wifi for 3 months without any issues but it suddenly stopped working yesterday.

The wifi appears on all my devices (laptop, tablet, phones) and all are connected to it but none can access Internet.
On my PC, when I tried to troubleshoot problems, it said that "one or more network protocols are missing". I googled that and tried several fixes (command prompt netsh thing / verifying that ipv4 was getting an IP automatically...) but they didn't work.

I tried to pair the plugs again, no success either.

Now a few things that I noticed and found weird:
- The Wifi Plug does not appear on Devolo Cockpit, yet my TV, which is plugged via ethernet on the Wifi CPL is working...
- Yesterday, Internet stopped working on the mac desktop computer (which is plugged directly to the box via ethernet) as long as the ethernet cable linking the first Devolo CPL to the box was plugged. When I removed the ethernet linking the CPL to the box, everything worked again on the desktop (the TV stopped working but that make sense).

Any idea what the issue might be ?

IP configuration not valid - interference from ethernet adapter?

Solution 1: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1or Windows 10

Step 1:

Go to Device Manager → Network adapters.
Step 2:

Expand it (Network adapters).


Step 3:

Select your network adapter


Step 4:

Right click on your wireless network adapter or Ethernet adapter and then tap “Update Driver Software”.
(in this case your network adopter is Ethernet adopter so tap your Ethernet adapter)
Step 5:

Now on a new window you will need to click on “Browse my computer for driver software”.




Step 6:

Then select “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer”.



Step 7:

Now choose the “Manufacturer’s drivers” from the list of two and then click next.



Step 8:

After the completion of the process just restart your PC and check if the problem is solved or not. If not, goto solution 2.



Solution 2: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1,windows10

Step 1:

Open command prompt.
Step 2:

Just go on hitting the enter after typing the each command.
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
Step 3:

Now to check if the settings are disabled type:
netsh int tcp show global
then hit enter.
Step 4:

Now the thing left is just rebooting your system and just check if the problem is solved or not and just give feedback.*chuckle*Thumbs
