Windows 10: diagnosing your computer loop

Own a dell 15-3567 laptop running win 10The unit does a daily scheduled incremental backup image to aWD external drive. On startup the unit goes into a “Preparing Auto repair” then into” Diagnosing Your computer “loop. So1. Preparing Automatic Repair/Diagnosing Your PC Loop

Hi,

To resolve your concern with continuously looping your system, we suggest that you follow the Startup Repair steps below:

• Turn off your computer.
• Turn on your computer. As soon as you see the Windows logo with the spinning dots, press and hold down the power button until your computer turns off. Do this process
  twice.
• Turn on your computer for the third time, and let it load.
• It should give you the message: Preparing Automatic Repair.
• On the next screen that would appear, click on Advanced Options.
• Select Troubleshoot.
• Go to Advanced Options.
• Click on Startup Repair.
• Wait for the repair to finish.

Automatic Loop

My computer will not start up. It comes up automatic repair then diagnosing PC on a loop. I've tried the troubleshooting for restarting and repair but did not work. It also takes about an hour in the diagnosing loop before it gets anywhere. Any suggestions
on how to get it started?

 

Computer looping stuck

Hi,

This kind of loop issue usually happens if the system or hardware encountered some corruption. For us to isolate the root cause of it, we suggest booting your computer
to Windows Recovery to perform a repair.

Kindly follow the steps below for you to access the Windows Recovery options:

• While the computer is booting up, turn off the computer when you see the
  Windows logo.
• Turn it back On, wait for the Windows logo again then turn it Off. (Do it for at least three times.)
• After the third time, Recovery screen should show up.
• Select Advanced options.
  
• Click Troubleshoot then choose Advance options. (See sample picture below.)
  
  
• Under Advanced options, select Automatic Repair/Startup repair.
• Startup Repair will begin diagnosing the problem wait for the process to finish then check if Windows will boot normally.
