    When I was updating my Surface 3 tablet to Windows 10, the update stuck at 95%. I had to hard reboot that ends in a black screen and white "Surface" text. I also see the spinning dots with words "Diagnosing your PC".

  2. Windows 10 stuck on "Diagnosing your pc"

    Hi,

    We suggest that you follow the steps below.


    • Press the ‘Windows + C’ key on the keyboard.

    • Click on settings, change pc settings and then
      general.

    • Scroll down to advanced startup, click
      restart now.

    • Click on troubleshoot, advanced options,
      Startup Settings.

    • Click restart, select safe mode
      and then press enter.
    Note: Restart the computer to start in normal mode.

  3. PC Build Steps

    Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??

    • Which version of Windows are you using?
    • Have you made any recent changes prior to experiencing the issue?
    • Were you able to try any other troubleshooting steps aside from the one suggested on this thread?

    Windows logo key + R, type winver, then select
