Windows 10: diagonal lines coming off text on my screen

    diagonal lines coming off text on my screen


    Hello all,


    I have opened my lenovo Ideapad laptop running on windows 10 after it being shutdown for the weekend today to find these diagonal lines streaking across the screen that seem to come off text. I have not recently installed any programs but when to shut the computer down did update the windows software (the problem had started before update). I did install 8GB of RAM a few weeks ago so thought it could be a hardware problem or loos cable but the screen works perfectly fine in safe mode and BIOS.

    I tried some troubleshooting which let me to restarting in safe mode (worked fine) then doing a clean reboot (problem came back)


    I have attached some pictures to give you an idea as I could not upload a video (don't know why the hell they are upside down, the uplaod function on this forum is pretty clunky)

    Have anyone noticed diagonal lines on your N97 or it´s just my unit?

    It´s hardware lines, you can see it even when device is off.

    You can see the lines mainly when there is white or clear color on the screen. I found it annoying. My 5800XM has Cristal Clear display. I didn´t expect nothing less from N97. I´m disapointed...

    win 10 update leaves vertical pink line on screen

    today i applied latest win 10 update and now i have a vertical pink line on screen, it remains on every screen. i have tried these fixes

    Step 1: I suggest you to run SFC scan,
    System File Checkeris a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

    Follow the below steps:

    • Right click on the Start button, click on
      Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit
      Enter.
    • After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.
    Step 2: Also, I suggest you to update the display drivers and check.

    Steps to Update the Display Adapter driver.

    • Press Windows key + Xkey when you are at desktop.
    • Select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display Adapter.
    • Right on the Display Adapter and click on
      Update driver software
    BUT i still have the line on screen.
