  1. Did a full install of Windows 10 Pro - can no longer display 2560x1440 resolution on my...

I've tried every trick in the book; I've downloaded drivers from AMD in compatibility mode, I've uninstalled drivers and tried other versions, I've reverted back to Windows 7 and then back to Windows 10, and now I have done a complete full install of Windows 10 Pro (that I paid for to get a license key), and I STILL CAN'T GET MY BRAND NEW MONITOR TO DISPLAY ANYTHING HIGHER THAN 1920X1080 60hz!! I know for a fact that my Radeon HD 5870 graphics card can display 2560x1440 because it was working fine on Windows 7 when I first installed my new ASUS ROG Strix XG32VQ curved monitor that can perform at 144hz, but it ceased to display 2560x1440 after I had the bright idea of upgrading to Windows 10. Please help, I've exhausted every known solution, this is a very expensive monitor that will be wasted on just a 1920x1080 resolution.

    HELP!!

    :)

  2. Windows 10 2560x1440 resolution

I have recently upgraded to the final version of windows 10 pro, 64bit machine. (Build 10240). After upgrading, I can no longer select 2560x1440 resolution for my philips 272C4 27 inch display. In my previous version (windows 7) this worked perfectly. The
display supports and recommends the 2560x1440 resolution when I check in the display menu. I have a radeon 6800 graphics card with the latest drivers version 15.20.1062.1002-150715a-187327C.

Any suggestions? How do I "convince" windows 10 that my display supports this resolution?

  3. Wrong Display Resolution in Windows 10 Pro

    Hi,

The concern regarding your screen resolution can be related to a hardware limitation. To identify if your graphics card can support the 2560x1440 resolution of your monitor, we suggest that you contact Intel to provide a the list of specification that match
    your system requirements.

Do post back if you have other concerns.

Unable to set screen resolution to 2560x1440

Original title: Setting screen resolution to 2560x1440

After converting from win 7 to win 10, was unable to reset screen resolution to 2560x1440 which is best resolution for me.

The monitor being used is 32" HP Envy HD Media Display.

Because of this I had to convert back to win 7.

Is there anyway with win 10 that I can select the HD resolution noted above?

    Thanks
