Did I mess up my Windows 10 apps by reseting to often and trying to fix it via Powershell...

I recently reset my Windows 10 PC but then I messed up when giving myself admin rights I´m the only user so I reset again but it corrupted some system apps so for example the task bar didn´t show me the start menu anymore so when I pressed Windows key I had a white area where the start menu normally would be. After that I couldn´t fix it so I reset again and it worked again but after some time I noticed that some system apps where not listed in the apps list in the start menu and tryed to reinstall them via Powershell which made it worse. I now have 13 apps listed as "Other" and they have we

  3. Does anybody how to fix the windows 10 store apps, using the powershell?

    Store Apps?

These procedures can be used to fix issues with These win 10 apps. Mail, Calendar, Cortana, Start menu, and Settings. It probably will work for others but I have only tested it with these.

    Solution 1: Re-register this App:
    • Run Windows PowerShell as Administrator.
    • Type Get-AppxPackage, press Enter.
    • From the output list, find the Mail App (or whatever app you are trying to fix) and remember the
      InstallLocation.
    • Type this command: Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_17.6120.42011.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\AppxManifest.xml"}
    • It would run as below:
Solution 2: If re-registering the App does not resolve your issue, Try reinstalling the App.
    Step 1: Uninstall it completely
    • Run Windows PowerShell as Administrator.
    • Type Get-AppxPackage, press Enter.
    • From the output list, find Mail App package and remember its PackageFullName as below:
    • And then type the following command: Remove-Appxpackage –Package microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_17.6120.42011.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe
Note: After running this command in Windows 10, the Mail icon still appear in the App list and Start menu. However, you cannot click to launch it. Just ignore and continue next step.
Step 2: Reinstall the App from Windows Store

    Windows 10 Apps Resetting

    Hi,

We suggest you try these methods for resolving the issue:

Method 1: Run the Windows 10 apps troubleshooter.

You may run the Windows apps troubleshooter in this link.

Method 2: Reset all Windows apps via PowerShell.

    • Press the Windows key, and type PowerShell.
    • Right click on PowerShell and click Run as Administrator.
    • Copy and paste the following code into the PowerShell window:
      Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"
    • Try any Windows app, and check if it's fixed.
Note: We suggest you restart your PC if you receive any error message.

If there's anything else you need help with, feel free to reply to this thread.
