Did the Windows 11 Update Mess Up Your HP Computer?

I first had a problem with my cursor disappearing. I did a chat with someone at Microsoft. Gave access to my computer. He did a few things and was advised to restart after 30 minutes. I followed the instructions, and the cursor returned. Five hours later, the cursor froze. The entire screen froze. I turned off the laptop, and every since then, when trying to restart, it does nothing. I've been in a never-ending boot screen for days! The first message says: Preparing Automatic Repair. The second message says: Your device ran into a problem, and we'll restart it for you. Then, the laptop goes back

    :)

  2. HP Spectre Folio 13 lost Bluetooth after latest Windows 11 update

After the most recent Windows 11 update, Bluetooth on this HP Spectre Folio 13t-Ak000 CTO stopped working. The computer refuses to report that it has Bluetooth, so no controls are visible. Given the proximity to the Windows 11 update, I am assuming that it is a software conflict rather than a hardware failure. The latest manufacturer's updates are for Windows 10 only.

The following steps were taken, to no avail:

    • Airplane mode was turned on and off.
    • A corrupted device driver, suspected as being the misinterpreted Bluetooth driver, was removed and the computer was rebooted to force a reinstallation.
    • All Windows and HP updates were installed, including a BIOS update.
    • System File Checker repaired the OS.
    • HP's network drivers were downloaded and reinstalled on the system.
    • The Bluetooth troubleshooter was run but no Bluetooth hardware was detected.
I have also posted this report on the HP boards. I have considered looking for the component manufacturer's Bluetooth drivers, if any, but I can't figure out the manufacturer. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Did the Windows 11 Update Mess Up Your HP Computer?

    HP Printer messed up

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We appreciate the efforts you have taken in trying to resolve this issue. We understand that after an update you are unable to print from your HP printer. However, it would be great if you can help us with the details mentioned below:

    • Do you receive any error message/code when you try to print? If yes, what is the error message?
    • Were you able to install the drivers successfully?
    • May I know which update was installed on the computer recently? To check go to
Start >> Settings >> Update & Security >> Windows Update >> View update history.

We would suggest you to check if the Printer is listed in Device Manager. Refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows key + X, and select
      Device Manager.
    2. Expand Printers and check if the Printer is listed.

We would suggest you to run HP Print and Scan Doctor on your computer and see if that helps. The HP Print and Scan Doctor will automatically detect for the issues and diagnose them. You can download the HP Print and Scan Doctor from the
    Utility-Diagnostic Tool section in
    HP LaserJet Pro M203dw Printer
    .

    For additional information, see
Fix printer connection and printing problems in Windows 10
    .

As you have mentioned that you are unable to remove the printer from the computer, we would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and remove the traces of the printer from the registry, restart the computer and then try installing the drivers.

Note: Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow
these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.
