Windows 10: Difference between 2 files that have the same extension

Hi 1st time here, I have a situation where files are being written to a folder with the same file extension (.art) and they can be either a csv type or a PDF and I want to copy the csv files only to another folder to be FTP to a site. I have been looking at Powershell as I need to run this daily and obviously can schedule a script with Powershell. Thanks in advance.

Can a file extension(.flv) be added to Default Program Associations.

I want you to be informed that all the file extensions is listed in the default program settings which is displayed under
Associate a file type or protocol with a program.



In default program list, all the programs or application will be listed. Then we can select each program as default program for opening a particular file.

I suggest you to refer to the below steps to make default program for a particular file extension.

1. Type "Control Panel" without the quotes in search box and click on it.

2. Click on Programs.

3. Then click on Default Programs and click on Choose Default for this Programs.

4. Select .flv file from the list.

Also you can try other steps to associate the a particular extenstion with the program.

3. Then click on Associate a file type or protocol with a program
and search for .flv extension from the list.

4. Click on .flv and then click on Change Program.

File extension is different than file type

In windows explorer, I have a file extension .wb3 quattro pro 7 different than what the file type quattro pro 16, .qpw is and the file opens in the file type, quattro pro 16. I've tired changing in properties .wb3 which has the correct program listed
first however, it opens with quattro pro 16, .qpw. I've went into administrator command prompt to find what extensions were
associated with and this was the response .qpw=QuattroPro.Notebook.16 and .wb3=QuattroPro.Notebook.7

I've tired some other things, however, nothing has worked, can somebody help to resolve this issue?

To change the file extension when saving a document in Word 2013, you may follow the steps below:

• Click on File; then, select Options from the list.
• In the Word Options window, choose Save.
• Under Save files in this format, select *.doc from the list.
• Hit OK button to confirm and save the changes.
