Different Lock Screen Picture When Turning On The Computer

Hi, this is a weird bug that I've noticed which is a little different and I prefer to have my Lock Screen picture as the picture when the computer boots up.
(Note: I am the only administrator, and there's only this account on my computer)

Every time I boot the computer, and Windows starts to load, this picture which I call "Inside The Man Cave" shows up when Windows logs into my account:

Yet I have set my Lock Screen picture as this:

How can I have the picture of the Girl Playing Music For The Birds as the picture that would show instead of being Inside The Man Cave?

    Thanks.

    :)

in Windows 10 it doesn't always give me a chance to click "I like and want more" or "I don't like"

    Hi Alice

They are both the same picture, what is shown on the lock screen when you turn on your computer is the same as your sign in page. If you choose a different lock screen picture then this will also be you sign in picture.

    Black lock screen

You say the lock screen is black. Go Settings, Personalization and when it is turned on go up to the pictures and click on a different one and see if it makes a difference.

On Settings > Personalization > Lock screen you need to scroll down and turn on 'Show lock screen background picture on the sign-in screen'. It's very near the bottom, so you might not have seen it.

Hi Bree. I went to that location and I apparently already have that option set to On. So I was hoping if taking it a step further would fix it, yet it didn't:

What I did was turn Off that setting, restarted the computer. Then after the computer finished loading, I went back to that setting location and turned it back On. I restarted the computer hoping that this 'probably' fixed the little bug, but nope, I accidentally forgot to cross my fingers, hence the Man Cave still haunts me.

It works for me. Have you tried locking the screen while logged on? I usually test my lock screen whenever I've changed it (WinKey + L). Perhaps it needs to 'lock' at least once before the picture gets used on the sign in screen?

    I just tried that out:
I pressed Win+L, clicked back at my account (dunno if this has anything to do with it, yet my account has a password), I restarted the computer, and the Man Cave still shows up.

Yep I had your problem too and hate that cave. Tried every suggestion on this site and others but to no avail. I got round it by using WinAeroTweaker program. In that program I have ticked 'Turn off lock screen.' When I boot up now my laptop goes straight to my lockscreen with my own picture choice. I have found that I need to use a logon password can't persuade it to boot up without one but that is a small price to pay not to see that awful cave and have control over what picture I see on my logon screen. I use Win 10 Home and it seems different Win 10 versions work differently. Hopefully it won't be too long before MS get rid of using two logon screens especially for folks who don't share their computer. Hope this helps as I spent hours trying to sort this out and I know how frustrating it is when you think you've cracked the problem and then that hideous cave sneaks back on screen!! Kind regards .

Hmm thanks for suggesting that. I tried that option out, but it still doesn't work. I tried rebooting, and that Cave picture still shows up. I remember a while ago, this picture didn't used to show up, I guess some automatic Windows update messed up that setting. The cave doesn't really bother me so much, but it would be nice to 'customize' the way I want Windows to look.
And I agree with you on the who 'two logon screens' that are unnecessary. I guess the Cave uses some default startup log in window, which is completely unnecessary.
