    Digital Flat Panel driver outranks generic pnp driver, but I want to use generic pnp.


    I use a laptop, and when I install my Intel graphics driver, Windows uses Digital Flat Panel 1024x768 60hz instead of Generic PnP, which is a problem, because Generic PnP CMO1720 is more flexible than Digital Flat Panel ms_0003. There's a temporary solution, which is clean installing Windows, but once I install Intel drivers, the problem returns.

    'Generic PnP monitor' issue

    Hello Angelica,

    I would suggest you follow steps to update the monitor driver:

    Press Windows + X keys

    Choose Device manager

    Click on Monitors

    Right click on ‘Generic PnP monitor’ and click on update driver

    Tap on Browse my computer for driver software

    Tap on Let me pick from a list of available drivers

    Choose ‘Generic PnP monitor’ and tap on Next

    When you are done please restart the computer.

    What is generic pnp monitor driver?

    I connect my laptop to Dell monitor, I use only 2 screen in setting but my FPS is decrease. When I disable generic pnp monitor driver, FPS is normal. Why? What is generic pnp monitor driver?

    Generic PnP monitor, as the word itself, is a general monitor driver installed in your device. It is a driver installed by the device and that component should work fine, though perhaps not as much functionality as the manufacturer's drivers.
