Windows 10: Digital licensing issues

Hey I was wondering if there's something wrong with my digital edition of Windows 10 home. I have upgraded my motherboard and been having activation issues with my account.


Ok I've updated the motherboard atleast 4 times in total from Win 7 Home> free Win 10 home edition and from there I bought the Digital Edition version of Win 10 home(I still have the order number from Sep 23, 2017) for the 3rd motherboard and for some reason it wont activate on my current mobo. I have the Windows 10 digital version connected via my Microsoft account but it wont activate after logging on. (0xC004F211)


I've tried all the Support handlings on the site, Troubleshooting and have uninstalled Win 10 home key on the Old mobo but still nothings happening, I tried using the Slui 4 method but for some reason it wasn't working which led me to another forum saying that it might just have some issues and a Repair which it did fix but now I got this new code(0xC004F014) and was wondering what else can I do. (Other than spending another 130$ hopefully)

Thats how licensing works with Windows 10, the digital license is attached to your Microsoft Account and makes it easy to reactivate Windows 10 in the event you reinstall it.

Thanks for your suggestion. I solved the problem with my License Key with Belarc Advisor Software. The Digital License code was a numeration that Microsoft Corporation has given to all that have Windows Account specially to those that has free upgraded
to Windows 10. Under the Digital License appears the original code.

When you upgraded from a previous version of Windows or receive a new computer preinstalled with Windows 10, what happened is the hardware (your PC) will get a digital entitlement, where a unique signature of the computer will be stored on Microsoft
Activation Servers. The Windows 7 or Windows 8 genuine license you were previously running will be exchanged for a diagnostics key.

Anytime you need to reinstall Windows 10 on that machine, just proceed to reinstall Windows 10. It will automatically reactivate. You will prompted to enter a product key a couple times through the installation, click I don't have
a key and Do this later.

There is no need to know or get a new key, but if you have issues with Digital Licensing or the Activation Troubleshooter, you can utilize an existing Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 product key you already own to
reactivate if necessary. or use the reset function in Windows 10.
