Windows 10: Digital upgrade to 10 from 7

So yesterday I upgraded my Asus laptop Intel core i7 with ATI HD5870 and 8gb ram from 7 to 10 digitally, or I tried. I first tried keeping my file and everything and just downloading 10. It wouldn't boot. Over and over I would have to hard reboot it until once, it finally got all the way through the process. Then it crashed and asked if I wanted to try reinstalling. So I did. Same thing. So I wiped all my files and tried a clean install. Still crashes. Over and over again. So now I have a laptop that won't get to the home screen and deleted all my stuff for it. If anyone knows who to blame for this truly terrible program, punch them for me right in the privates.

is hardware OK (Win 7) for upgrade to windows 10

I think in one of the other PC with win 7 or win 8.1 I run media creators tools and in some step prompt/found graphics card not supported... for win 10. I didn't found alone reading specs of win 10, but the tool says me... after changed graphics card the tool said all OK and continued OK with upgrade... That I ask to reach this step in this current PC - win 7 - must be all OK for the upgrade? Or must continue to upgrade to show this?

How do I get a 7 digit code to reinstall windows 10

If you previously had Windows 10 installed and activated on that PC
during the installation process skip the steps which ask for a product key and select the option 'I am Reinstalling Windows 10 on this PC', and activation will not be an issue, your PC will have a digital entitlement stored on the
Microsoft Servers

The 7 digit code is used to confirm your ID with your Microsoft account

Please follow these steps:

• Open the Settings App, go to Accounts
• You should see the "Verify" link just above your picture
• Check your Email to see if Microsoft have sent you a 7 digit code
• Enter the 7 digit code when asked
