    direct x issue?

Hello. This has been bugging me , and i appreciate your help in advance.

I have 2 computers with similar builds and identical video card700 series.

My wife plays a game online i used to play and just one day during load it crashes.

the game will crash on load and the techs at the game company say its a direct x issue or guessing.

So my real confusion is this scenario Ive been doing to get the game to play. I have a pc same video card in our bed room and wife uses one in main room. we will reinstall the game with out doing the techs advice in bed room it loads up no problem. I take it to the main room. hook everything up and it will crash while loading to servers. So i take her computermain room and hook everything up in the bed room and it sometimes will load fine. Ive tried switching the cat cables everything. another reason its confusing is that some of the techs options worked in the past on the pc in the main room. all options seem to be way different ... everything from adding an folder thats ****.old renamed, to changing direct x value in the main config. I.E. manually changing direct x from "10" to "11".

how is that both computers run fine only when i installed and operated in one part of the house. when i try to fresh install either one out in the main room its a fail. also some of the tech advice's have worked once or twice out in the main room, but the procedures didn't seem to be related and the fix didnt last long. once logged off it would not load again ... well unless i took it to the bedroom area and it has a 75% chance of working just fine .

ty for your advice . sorry if it seemed all over the place . its been a long week of trying to figure this out and just trying to state facts i think would help and not distract.

    :)

    Issues with Direct X.

If Dude's link doesn't work, try this - DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)

First things first... I would suggest you create a Restore Point, just in case something strange happens. To create one just got to Control Panel, System, System Protection, Create a restore point right now..., and click on Create.

Name the creation point and click create...

    direct x issue? [IMG]

This will now create a manual restore point should you need to revert back to a previous working point should something go wrong. I do myself do this a lot when I install certain programs or software.

    Now...

When you download the file I linked to, you'll have to extract the files to a folder of your choosing. I suggest you create a folder named "DX Redist" prior to extracting the files and place it your desktop so you can easily find it.

Then click on the downloaded file and extract the contents to said folder. Open the folder and click on the DXSETUP.exe and the files should install. I just did it on my Win 10 machine and all went well. You may also want to reboot even though it may not be required.

Let us know if this helps.

    Good luck.
