Windows 10: DirectX 11.2 overwrote DirectX 12

Discus and support DirectX 11.2 overwrote DirectX 12 in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; Hello everybody ! I recently upgraded to windows 10 from 8.1 and got DirectX12 , but when i tried to install a game it automatically overwrote it...     DirectX 11.2 overwrote DirectX 12


    Hello everybody !

    I recently upgraded to windows 10 from 8.1 and got DirectX12 , but when i tried to install a game it automatically overwrote it with 11.2 . Because dx12 is exclusively for windows 10 I can't find anywhere an installer or something to solve my problem . I saw there is a similar thread but the solution it's based on an Nvidia gpu and mine in AMD . Any help would be appreciated !

    why after upgrading to windows 10 from windows 8.1 in dxdiag it's still showing directx version 11.2 instead of directx 12?

    why after upgrading to windows 10 from windows 8.1 in dxdiag it's still showing directx version 11.2 instead of directx 12? isn't in windows 10 directx version should be 12?

    Directx 12 install

    your gpu supports directx 12 but intel hd graphics 4000 does not.

    so intel hd graphics 4000 is running directx 11.2 but check nvidia control panel, your gpu is running directx 12.

    It isn't overwritten. Go to the command prompt window and type dxdiag to see the version.
