Windows 10: DirectX fails to get input info

I recently changed my hardware motherboard and RAM and did a clean install of Windows 10 Home. Ever since then, half of the time I try to boot a game that uses DirectX, the game fails to launch and/or crashes. This issue can be temporarily remedied by restarting the PC, but will occur again if teh computer is turned off for an extended time a couple of hours or so. When I go to dxdiag, the only error that I see is "Error: Problem getting input info." I have tried reinstalling Windows, flashing firmware to my keyboard and mouse, and removing every unnecessary input device microphones, VR HMD, etc.. The issue still persists and is quite annoying, any help would be appreciated. I have tried doing a repair or reinstall of DirectX, but as it's integrated into Windows, the installer does not let me attempt a repair and simply closes.

• DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer

Thank you for the update. Please verify if DirectX June 2010 is being offered via Windows Update. If your computer is already running DirectX 12, it has backwards compatibility with the previous version of DirectX. Moreover, you may also want to consider
performing the suggested steps in this article.

Try the following steps and check if it helps:

Step 1:

I suggest you to check the DirectX Version installed on your system.

Follow the below steps to check the DirectX Version:

• Press Windows key + R from the Desktop.
• Type dxdiag and hit Enter.
• Check the DirectX Version.

Step 2:

I suggest you to update the Graphic driver from the Device Manager and check if it works.

Follow the below steps:

• Press Windows + R on the Keyboard.
• Type in devmgmt.msc and hit Enter.
• Select Graphic driver from the list.
• Right click on the Graphic driver and click on Update driver Software.

If the issue persists then install the latest graphic driver from the manufacturer and check if it helps.
