Windows 10: Disable 10's auto-brightness adjustment capabilities?

I set my monitor to a set brightness that I want, but I sometimes see my screen dimming and brightening on its' own, even when I'm actively using my laptop. I think 10 must have some kind of auto-brightness adjustment capability, that detects lighting conditions around me and adjusts my brightness accordingly. This is acceptable if my Android smartphones do this, since I'm always on the go and in varying indoor/lighting conditions, but I'm usually stationary when using my notebook and don't want 10 adjusting the brightness to anything other than what I explicitly set it to. Besides, there are softwares that do this far better, like f.lux. My Intel graphics driver is also installed, so maybe that could be playing a factor.

How can this aggravating, malformed "feature" be disabled?

how to avoid auto adjusting feature of brightness

Even after disabling auto adjusting features in control panel power option > advanced menu as well as disabling in "Display power saving technology" in HD graphics control panel, the auto brightness problem persists i.e brightness is getting automatically
adjusted to 1% only...

 

N9 brightness slider update please...

Nokia, can you add a brightness slider for the auto dim in next software update? You cannot disable auto brightness on N9 currently, but it would be nice to adjust it like the normal brightness or turn auto dim off...

Open Power Settings and disable the Brightness control setting in the Advanced properties. Simple 101 basic stuff.

 

If it is related to GPU's driver, it can not be helped. I always set my brightness to 50% and Windows kept increasing it up, so I eventually ended up with 3%, I always reinstalled after that, because, it sure would hard to cut 1% by 50%. *Biggrin

 

After moving to windows 10 from windows 7 I had to totally reset my monitor and GPU
settings. Wish it was that simple, but it's clear 10 is made for phones and tablets and they
skimped on computers.

I have to use a high contrast theme now, everything else is either too bright or washed out.
When you get my age you will see, you don't want this crap as your vision gets worse.

Basic 101 stuff broken. I have nothing like that in my power setting, but then again
mine is a desktop.

 

Power Options>>Change Plan Settings>>Change Advanced Power Settings>>Display>>Enable Adaptive Brightness>>Off.

 

OK see it now, they buried it good.
Mine is set to "off", so this is no help.
