Windows 10: Disable autocorrect in Windows 10 Mail app

I am aware that this thread https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-other_settings/how-disable-autocorrectspell-check-in-windows-10/69f4705f-cb8b-4a75-9d56-9733d8fc2dd2?auth=1 has the exact same question. But as many people have noted in it, the proposed solution does not work. Mail still autocorrects while I'm typing. So I thought I'd ask again, just in case.


How can I make it so that Mail stops autocorrecting?

Microsoft Mail Windows 10 - Can't disble Autocorrect spelling

I need to disable autocorrect spelling on Microsoft Mail Windows 10. I do have it set to disable autocorrect spelling. It workson all apps except the mail app, where it ignores my setting and continues to autocorrect spelling, much to my frustration. I
have searched for an answer but have not found anything that works. Again, this only malfunctions on Windows Mail.

Thank you for any suggestions to correct this problem.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

How disable autocorrect/spell check in Windows 10 Mail app?

Turning off Autocorrect in Windows does not solve the problem. The Mail app still autocorrects.
