What happens if I disable Radeon Settings Host Application in my startups?

Excess CPU usage due to Radeon Settings Host Application

I think this may be a similar situation to 'Windows Modules installer worker' from which I no longer suffer. Recently I have noticed when looking at Task Manager the Radeon Settings Host Application is using30% CPU even when
the computer has no applications running apart from Task Manager. Needless to say this slows down performance and causes the CPU fan to work harder than usual.

I am aware that on April 23rd an update was installed,
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. driver update for AMD Radeon(TM) R5 Graphics, and I cannot help but wonder if this might be contributing to my problem?

My processor is AMD A8-6410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics 2.00Ghz running Windows 10 Home 64 bit on a Lenovo H30-05 desktop PC.

I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly, it seems that there are almost 3 million references to this, I've had a look at some but at age 79 I fear I will not live long enough to look at all..

Excess CPU usage due to Radeon Settings Host Application

I thought I should let you know that my problem with excessive (in my opinion) CPU usage by ‘Radeon Settings Host Application’ seems to be cleared. I decided to perform a System Restore’ which eventually failed and the computer went through an even longer
rigmarole doing an Automatic Repair. Eventually the thing got going again and I was pleased to see the CPU usage by Radeon etc. had returned to a more usual 0%.

On reflection I wonder if I might have done more to rectify the problem. I am lazy and usually use ‘Hibernate’ instead of ‘Shut Down’ unless there is indication of updates to be installed. I think my problem MIGHT have been cleared had I performed a simple
‘Restart’ instead of wasting my time with ‘Restore. I think there is a lesson to be learned here, 'If something doesn't seem to be working switch off and on again'.
