Windows 10: Disable Scroll Wheel?

My Mouse is on the fritz and wont stop randomly scrolling up and down, it stops when i unplug the mouse and happens in any usb port so i'm pretty sure its just a hardware issue. Until i get a new mouse how can i disable the mouse scroll? tried googling but finding no answer.

Disable scroll wheel on Windows 10??

This is not an answer to the question that was asked. The question was whether there is a way to disable the wheel in Windows 10, not how to fix the Apple mouse. I have a fully Windows supported HP mouse but would also like to disable the "wheel." Like
the Apple mouse, this mouse does not have an actual wheel but rather a touch scroll. The touch is very sensitive and I'd like to be able to disable it completely when using certain applications.

So I re-post the original question - is there a way to disable the mouse wheel in Windows 10?

I'm trying to play a game and the mouse scroll wheel keeps zooming in when I click it, how do I disable the scroll feature of the mouse while keeping access to the button?
