    Disable Win10 Security


    About 8 months ago, we finished migrating around 800 users from 7 to 10, for the sake of security.


    Now, users are complaining about Secure Boot via UEFI which we didn't implement before. It's my understanding that without Secure Boot, we wouldn't be able to fully utilize the 'guards' (App Guard, Device Guard, or Credential Guard).


    I don't know if it's correct to call this an 'issue' in the sense that something is wrong with Win10, but does anyone else have experience dealing with user complaints about Secure Boot in Win10? And if so, can you disable UEFI Secure Boot but still keep the 'guards' in place?

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
    Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

    How about disabling BITS & WU service, I don't remember win10 being able to turn them ON (to auto or manual) when they're disabled *Toast :toast:

    That made me so facepalm. Some people have absolutely no clue. I hope they don't take you for granted with all this you're doing for them.

    SonicWall is a good security product, so Mindweaver's suggestion sounds like a good one and should make for a rather bigger baby step. Let's hope they take it.
