Windows 10: Disabling Game Mode

Whenever I play youtube, or a browser game in full screen, Game Mode automatically turns on, and I get a black screen for about a second as it is switching modes. Then a lot of actions can cause it to turn game mode off, so I get the black screen again - say, changing the sound volume, or bringing the mouse pointer close to the edge of the screen. Then in another second it's turning game mode on again. And off again. This started happening about a couple months ago, and is extremely distracting, inconvenient, and frustrating. All info on disabling game mode, is about going into settings, and turning it off there, but it IS off there. It turns on automatically when I am in full screen. Can anyone suggest a solution? If it matters, I am running Athlon 200 GE processor, coupled with Radeon RX 570 graphics card. This is my "media center" PC connected to the TV, and it's been doing everything else fine.

Game Mode is automatically enabled to some games only. There are some games that require you to manually enable Game Mode before you can use this feature on your Windows 10 device.

To manually turn on Game Mode, you can follow the steps below:

• Press the Windows key on your keyboard + G.
• Select Settings.
• In the General tab, select the check box for Game Mode.
