    Disappearing Cortana


    I had Cortana and loved her, but she then disappeared and even after reinstalling the Windows Pro 10 preview she has not reappeared. I know that she was not originally in the UK, but I am now on build 9926 and was advised that Cortana was now available, but she has mysteriously vanished, and I cannot even enter text into the search field.
    Any suggestions?

    Cortana not working - Windows 10

    Right click the taskbar>Cortana>Show search box.

    Does the cortana come back?

    Disappearing Cortana

    As far as I know she is only available in US English Windows 10 setting the region to US in build 9926 and older, first in Build 10041 she arrives to UK and some other regions.

    Can I upgrade to build 10041? I certainly did have her and loved her, but now she has left me and I am desolate

    If you are running Build 9926, you should get the 10041 upgrade. Go to Start Menu > PC Settings > Update & recovery and check for updates.

    My love is requited. She returned in Build 10049, and although I cannot speak to her as my microphone still does not yet work (driver problems), I can write to her.
