Windows 10: Disappearing NVIDIA Graphics Card.

About a month ago i purchased an HP OMEN 17" Laptop 16 GiG memory, I7 Ninth Gen processor 9750H and NVIDEA RTX-2070 Graphics card, no probs untill 3rd night, switched it off normally next night i switched it on, all icons have changed and enlarged from 100% to 125%, i had dimmed my screen to 60% first night of use, however when i right-click on desktop, i now find the brightness slider has disappeared, only a night switch mode on-off button, i cannot increase-decrease screen brightness at all even using function + F2 short-cut my NVIDEA icon has disappeared also, in the task bar, and also if I right-click anywhere on the laptop screen, i click on my NVIDEA desktop Icon to get the Nvidea GFORCE Experience, it tells me an updated driver for certain games is available, i try to install said driver only to find after about 2mts it has failed to install with a message stating ` This NVIDEA Graphics Driver Is Not Compatible With This Version Of Windows` i continue with various Diagnostics till another message pops-up and informs me A NVIDEA graphics card was not detected on your system` where could it have gone??? so as a last resort i go to System restore which completes successfully, hey presto yeaaaaaa!! everything is back to normal, card has re-appeared, lighting slider switch, Function F1-F2 keyboard works again etc, however, to cut this long story shorter, switch-off computer that night, next day after switch-on, AAAAAArghhhhh!! the problem has returned, same symptoms as above, take computer back in time system-Restore cures problem, 3rd night, switch-off normally, 4th day switch-on, Doughhhhhhh!! graphics card has disappeared yet-again, to make matters worse System Restore has binned the time slots i had been rescuing the laptop with, now the computer is stuck with this darned problem, my only re-course that i can think of, is to try a full factory restoration or contact HP Support, i just wanted to know if anybody else in the Forums has/or has had a Graphics card in their computers, be it laptop/desktop, that has developed `TRUE-AI` and has grown 2-legs/2arms, and walked out their computers, never to return, lol, I cannot think of any software installation that I have carried out that may be causing this problem, anyone else experienced this???

I request you to try the following steps:

Uninstall and Reinstall the Graphics Card Drivers.

Step 1: Uninstall the Graphics Card
Drivers

• 
  Right click on the Start menu.
  
• 
  Click on “Device Manager” from that list.
  
• 
  Search for the Graphics Card
  from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers
  from the computer.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.
  

After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.

Step 2: Go to the Computer or Graphics Card
manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the
Graphics Card model and then install it by following the instructions given in the website.

I have Samsung laptop in built NVidia graphic card /did graphic card give some problem after some time ? and if I want to buy laptop which 1 u guys suggest mostly gameing perpose

By default if you have on-board graphics and a dedicated Graphics card, Windows will use the on-board graphics until you perform some intensive graphics task, at that point it should automatically switch over . .

Things were better when Nividia allowed us to turn off the on-board graphics with Optimus, sadly that option is no longer available to us . .

Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)

Go to System - Display - at the bottom, click Graphics Settings

On that page, you can add to the list of apps that should just use the Nvidia graphics card . . .
