Windows 10: Disk 100% usage, after clean install

Hello,

I've had this problem for 5 years maybe, i tried maybe 20 solution ideas on the internet and nothing worked or maybe just worked for short-term.

Laptop: Dell inspiron i5 5547

HDD: Toshiba something 5600rpm 500GB


i thought that it was problem with the laptop itself but idk now.


So the problem itself:

Very often DISK usage goes to 100% and stays there, making the laptop unusable, sometimes the usage goes down, sometimes it doesn't so i need to restart the laptop.

when the usage is 100% i don't hear no hard buzzing noises which i would expect if the hard drive works at maximum power.


Anyway, currently i've built a new pc and if i insert that hard drive to the new pc and boot up windows, the issue persists and task manager shows 100% DISK usage. Then i thought the issue is with windows itself, so i saved my important files to the new hard drive and reinstalled windows on the laptop.

and after installing windows, i opened up task manager and DISK was at 100%. i used the same hard drive

Could the problem be with the hard drive?

or some DELL Laptop, windows 10, hard drive driver combo magic ?

And no, disabling "Windows Search" Does not work

100% disk usage and memory usage can be caused by a software corruption, running application running on the background and malware or virus infection.

• Did the issue happen after installing the Fall Creators?
• Did you receive any error messages?
• Can you send us the screenshot of the Task Manager showing the 100% disk usage and memory usage?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

I've seen that article. and I am in fact not running that driver. I followed the steps and it does not appear in the list.

Just performed a clean install, twice. And my disk usage is at 100% even without any programs running.

I don't have skype or chrome.

I've disabled windows search, super search and windows defender.
