Windows 10: Disk Cleanup showing no amount of temporary files?

I recently reverted the temporary file location from a secondary drive back onto my main drive.

Issue is, windows 10 storage settings and Disk Cleanup isn’t showing me any amount of temporary files anymore..


Does it only show after a set amount of days?

I downloaded CCleaner and it found temp files, so whats the issue with windows 10 not finding any?


These are my current pathways:


User variables:
TEMP: "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp"
TMP: "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp"

System variables:
TEMP: "%SystemRoot%\TEMP"
TMP: "%SystemRoot%\TEMP"

• We would like to confirm if you were running the Disk Cleanup utility?
• Can you confirm that the only files you cannot delete were all temporary Internet files?
• Was there a lock displayed beside the temporary Internet files?
• Were there any error messages when you tried to run a disk clean up.
• Can you send us a screenshot of the error message?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Disk Cleanup showing 2.9GB Temporary Internet Files


Disk Cleanup is showing 2.92GB temporary Internet files that I cannot even find.





When I click on View files I am taken here:





One 0KB file and a folder. The folder contents are:





I am having a hard time understanding why 281KB of files found is showing in Disk Cleanup as 2.92GB. Can someone help me understand what is happening here?

I have 2 PCs with win 10 Pro on both. One has 330 MB in Internet temporary files, The other has 5.09 GB. When you click on show files in Disk Cleanup, it says folder is empty.
