Windows 10: Disk free memory?

Can any of the respected users help me I have such a problem on my laptop 500GB SSD drive And almost the entire Windows 11 Pro system is already occupied. Namely, the disk shows me only free 30GB 470Gb of the C: drive Directories: App about 20GB Program Files 22GB Program Files86 35GB User 68GB Windows 50 GB So in total about 200GB where did the 240GB go? In disk management it shows C: 473GB in the WinDirStat program 194GB what is wrong?

Run CMD


1. diskpart
2. list disk

Then in the 3º step, put the correct number of disk in the list for the usb flash (if it's listed in disk 3, then you'll have to write select disk 3).

2. select disk #
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

with that commands you will format the flash drive in fat32, if you have a large drive you can select also "format fs=ntfs" in step 7.

Disk or memory space

Even though no programs or applications are running, some background services can show memory usage and disk usage. You may check which particular program is using the memory. Refer to these steps:



a) Press Windows key + X, select task manager.

b) Click on the ‘processes’ tab and it will show you show you a list of programs and services running and their corresponding memory usage and disk usage.

c) Check if any of the item listed is consuming more memory or disk usage than normal.

One of the methods to solve the problem is to increase the virtual memory. Make it equivalent to your RAM size for the initial size and twice of the initial size in maximum size and make sure you have the same amount of free space in your hard drive in each
drive.

If the issue persists you can place the computer in a
Clean Boot and check.
