  1. Disk Partition Unallocated Space

Disk Partition Unallocated Space 57166c39-a5c3-4698-abdd-fec90f7defa5?upload=true.png Hi team,

I recently tried installing windows 7 and during installation, I got the message that Windows can't get installed on the selected disk due to MBR style. I converted the MBR style to GPT style by allocating 100Gb to selected Disk 0.

Now after installation, I can only see one hard disk partition of 97Gb memory and that too C drive.

I upgraded to Windows 10 but the problem still persists.

I took a look at the Disk management, and there is an unallocated space of 367.55 Gb in Disk 0. When I tried to create the new partition volume, it popped up with a message that "There is not enough space on the disk to perform the operation"

Can anyone please help? Disk Partition Unallocated Space 44f79d8f-3dad-4f7f-9576-5d529de4868c?upload=true.png

    Unallocated Space to C Drive

    Hi Travis,

It appears that a disk partition was created but was never assigned its allocation. Assuming there are no files stored in the unallocated partition, perform these steps to combine it with your C: drive:

    • In Disk Management, right-click on (CDisk Partition Unallocated Space :) which appears next to the
      Unallocated partition.
    • Select Extend.

Let us know if you're able to combine the spaces after following the steps above.

    Regards.

Was commenting on the pic in post #21. Not suggesting anything. It just looked like the step you were doing was incomplete.
