    Disk repair on every startup


    Every time I boot Windows 10 I get a message that the disk (860 EVO) is being repaired.
    When right clicking the drive in Windows and going into properties and then tools and running the "Error checking" tool a window pops up telling me that the disk has some errors and to correct them I need to restart the computer. So I do that but when I check the "Error checking" tool again I get the same message again telling me that the disk has some errors that need to be repaired.

    -Checking the disks status in cmd (wmic) it says "Status OK".
    -Running the diagnostics scan in Samsung Magician does not show any errors either.
    -Full scan with Malware Bytes: nothing
    -Full scan with Defender: nothing

    What's next?

    I'm having the Disk Check issue again. However, this time, I can't use Startup Repair to fix it. Can you address this?

    Hi Luky,

    Thank you for posting your reply.

    I suggest you to perform a Startup Repair by following the steps below.

    • In the Lock screen, press/hold the shift key and click on power icon>restart.
    • Click on Troubleshoot>Advanced Options>Startup Repair and follow the prompts to start the Startup Repair.
    After the Startup Repair is complete, check for the status.
