    DISKPART


    I have an external USB HD that was with read-only state. It was fully accessible on Windows Explorer and the file system NTFS recognized. I then ran DISKPART to make it readable.


    Attr disk/vol clear readonly


    The command was successful. However, the moment the command is executed the disk simply disappears from File Explorer as a NTFS unit and become RAW as seen in Disk Management.


    So, as it is, I must opt between a read-only disk but accessible or a non-accessible disk but non-read-only...


    Any clue on how to solve this?

    diskpart doesn't show disk

    Hey,

    I am trying to install Win10 on a mac book air.

    However the diskpart does not list the disk even after reformatting the partition as NTFS per suggestion.

    read through this solution but cannot move to step 1 listed in the solution by Ivan as that disk doesn't see that partition it was just able to reformat.

    How to format whole harddrive and then create partition of Harddrive for Window 10 installation through diskpart . Please give me full step for same

    Thanks for the suggestion but as I stated the drive doesn't show up in Disk management. I just tried the Diskpart steps and it's not listed on there either
